Still need to change the oil (tomorrow), paint the valve covers (probably next week) and so some other engine bay clean up stuff (zip tie spark plug wires!). I had to set the timing with a timing light, and while it's pretty straightforward, there are some intricacies that are worth mentioning. If there is desire for a little write up, I'll do one.

Please, I would like to know what caused the fart at the end of the carb.

The positive wire to the electric choke fell off and stuck the choke wide open so it coughed and died. That's fixed now too though, so its all good.

P.S. between you and me, I took this video before I actually timed the engine (timed today, video was a couple days old). But ssshhhh, don't tell anyone else.

But it looked like it came from the base of the carb.?

Hmm don't know then, couldn't tell you. Maybe a small backfire. It was doing a bit of that before the timing adjustment as well.

I would spray some WD on that area while it is running. Intake/carb leaks are not good. (If it is leaking, you will see a change in idle).

Hmm will do. Thanks for the suggestion.
